Abimbola Akinkugbe

MD/CEO, EcoBuild by Moulding Technologies

In this conversation

Abimbola Akinkugbe is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of EcoBuild by Moulding Technologies. Architecture-trained, she works across manufacturing and construction, with a focus on expanded-polystyrene materials and building systems for sustainable housing delivery.

Her work exposes her to the practical economics of getting projects built: material choice, production, installation, construction time, energy performance and the coordination required between project teams and contractors. EcoBuild’s role in residential delivery, including its work as lead contractor at Mowe Golf Town, places those questions in a live development context.

In “The Cost of Being Un-Bankable,” she brings the perspective of the delivery system itself. Her experience helps the room examine how construction methods, cost certainty, speed and execution capability shape a project’s risk profile—and why financeability cannot be separated from the practical realities of building.
