John Oamen

Founder & CEO, CutStruct

In this conversation

John Oamen is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of CutStruct, a Nigerian construction-technology company providing digital procurement and delivery tools for developers, contractors and project teams. Before CutStruct, his work included real-estate brokerage and construction finishing, giving him an operating view of how projects move from intention to execution.

Through CutStruct, he works with the details that can determine whether delivery remains credible: sourcing materials, comparing prices, coordinating suppliers and logistics, tracking expenditure and making procurement activity visible. The company’s work also gives financiers a clearer view of material flows and how project funds are being used.

That makes his perspective especially relevant to “The Cost of Being Un-Bankable.” He brings the developer-operations side of the question—how better information, procurement controls and delivery evidence can reduce uncertainty, and how financing structures can align more closely with what is happening on site.
